We are pleased to announce the upcoming International Workshop on The Notion of the Self in Seneca’s Writings, sponsored by the Limud Bechevruta program at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the ERC project Romana – The Roman Turn Among Jews, Greek Pagans, and Christians.

11:30 – Catharine Edwards (Birbeck College, University of London): The Desire for a Better Self: Seneca on Wanting to Be Good (Letter 80).
12:00 – Sharon Weisser (Tel Aviv University): Grief and Pre-Passion in Seneca.
